How to get iPhone to sync photos

If you get into a situation where your iPhone sync process does not prompt to import photos, here’s how to remedy the situation (temporarily anyway):

1) Start –> Control Panel –> View devices and printers (under Hardware and Sound)

2) right-click Apple iPhone and select Troubleshoot (you’ll likely see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it to indicate there is a problem)

3) click “Apply this fix”

4) at this point you should receive the dialog box entitled AutoPlay – click “Import pictures and videos”

5) also click Close on the devices and printers dialog

I’ve recently encountered this problem on my Windows 7 64-bit PC (but don’t have the issue with the iPad!)

If you find a permanent fix for this problem please let me know!
